Food fads, fad diets, health fraud, and misdirected health claims are all types of nutrition misinformation. The best way to protect against questionable health products and services is to be an informed consumer. Be aware of the common claims and themes that accompany nutrition misinformation. Join us for this workshop on Food Labels Myths and Facts to know what to look for and to know what those labels really mean.
March 18, 2025: Food Connects Us – Register now!
Food is a connecting factor for many of us. Food connects us to our cultures, our families and our friends. Sharing a meal is an opportunity to learn about its preparation, who made it and where the ingredients were sourced. Health, memories, traditions, seasons and access can all impact our relationship with food. While these factors influence the foods we eat, the foods we eat also affect our health.

June 17, 2025: Microgreens: Windowsill Gardening – Register now!
Not a gardener? No worries! Microgreens are a great small-scale, low commitment step to getting started growing regardless of the season or weather since they can be grown indoors and they take up very little space! What are Microgreens? They are flavorful, nutrition-dense, young seedlings of vegetables or herbs that you can typically harvest within only 1-3 weeks of sowing the seeds! They make great additions to salads, sandwiches, and elevate any dish when used as a garnish. Join us to learn how to start your own microgreen trays by reusing materials that you likely already have around the house.
