Join CHOEDC as we demystify the home-buying process and equip you with the knowledge to make informed decisions regarding your housing needs.

Week 5: Retirement

It’s never too early to start planning for retirement. In our final workshop, explore the world of retirement savings, including employer 401(k) plans and various retirement options. Discover cost-effective ways to invest in your future and lay the groundwork for financial security in your golden years. Learn about life insurance policies, Roth IRAs, and other essential tools for building a robust retirement portfolio.

As adults are navigating their workshops, each week, young participants will have the chance to acquire these crucial skills in an interactive setting. Utilizing the Real Money, Real World curriculum, youth will delve into fundamental money management principles during workshops. Following this, they will engage in a spending simulation, mirroring real-life lifestyle and budget decisions that adults encounter daily. This hands-on approach ensures practical learning and empowers youth to navigate financial challenges confidently.
