Granville County 4-H Teen Internship Program:

You are invited to apply for the Granville County Teen Leadership Summer Institute. This program is targeted to Granville County youth who are ages 14-18.

Role of the Teen Leaders:

The purpose of the program is to promote skills related to employment preparedness, leadership, and personal responsibility. Teen leaders will participate in 4 hours of training before signing up to serve in leadership roles in our summer day camp programs. Teen leaders will earn a minimum of 20 hours of community service (including training time).

Required commitment:

  • Attend and participate in the Teen Leadership Training: June 8 from 1 p.m.-5 p.m.
  • Provide at least 18 hours of service / leadership in Granville County 4-H Summer Programs
  • Behavior at the day camps must be professional and beyond reproach. The 4-H Code of Conduct will be in effect for each site. Violations will be dealt with by the appropriate action designated in the 4-H Code of Conduct and may result in immediate removal from the program.

All applications must be received by May 18, 2022 Please be aware that we will contact your references to help determine the best candidates for this program. Candidates will be notified to the status of their application by June 1, 2022 (Candidates who lack the maturity to serve as a role model for children may be rejected.)
