Each year Granville, Franklin, Vance, and Warren Counties band together to host a poultry project that entails youth raising 10 baby chicks into full-grown, egg-laying pullets.

The birds are distributed in May of the year then 3 of each breed you choose are shown and sold in October.

This year, the show is going to be held on October 23, 2021.

The two breeds to choose from are Barred Rock and Easter Egger.

The cost to participate is $20 per youth.

If you would like to participate please ensure your child is enrolled as a 4-H member via 4-H Online.

Then, register online for the show by March 19.
