The Eat Smart, Move More, Take Control curriculum is an 8 session chronic disease prevention program that provides strategies to help adults manage their health. It informs, empowers, and motivates participants to change their eating and physical activity patterns. The program provides opportunities for participants to track their goals and progress toward healthy eating and physical activity behaviors. Each 1-hour session contains information about a specific nutrition topic such as sodium, fat, and sugar; a physical activity break, and a healthy recipe. The recipes and nutrition handouts are provided to program participants.
It will be held on Wednesdays, July 15 – September 2, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Everyone will need a computer and an email address to participate in this program. Emails will come out weekly with the Zoom link and handouts. Classes will be held virtually through Zoom or there are prerecorded videos available if you are not able to join us at the time of our class. There is required pre and post program paperwork that is to be completed on the computer. That information will be sent out upon registering. You must pre-register online.
Everyone that registers for the program, attends classes and completes the required paperwork will receive free incentives at the end of the program
