Yes, we have had much rain! Insect reports show stinkbug feeding on small soybeans. Armyworm moth counts are up in all locations keep an eye out on your fields. Sugar Cane Aphids are on the rise. Overall, tobacco and corn look good.

Soybeans have struggled due to a 4-week drought that swelled the seed then ran out of moisture due to poor and non-uniform stands in the field. Some replanting has already happened. Wheat harvest will be finishing up rains did not help keep quality and did not help test weight. The upstart to all this is commodity prices have been improving due to late planting in the Midwest. Keep scouting fields if you see any issues give the Extension office a call – I am out in the fields and have been seeing these issues.
