July 16th 2018 Insect Report

— Written By

Stinkbugs are still out there in corn, soybeans, tobacco. I have been county large numbers but minimal damage. For corn stinkbug damage is pretty much passed but not for soybeans when forming pods they eat on the out side of the pod and disease sets into the seed creating small seed or damaged seed. Stinkbugs also like flowering soybeans and can do damage in that area. Scout your fields keep an eye out for insects in later season.
